Commonly asked questions
What is Co2 resurfacing?
The CO2 laser is a carbon dioxide laser that is used for skin resurfacing. Thin layers of skin are vaporized using a high-energy beam of laser light. This creates a “controlled injury” to the skin: as the skin heals, it produces collagen as a natural part of the healing process, which restores your skin's elasticity.
Can my skin benefit from Co2?
Most everyone can benefit from CO2, as we have multiple offerings that cater to each individual need for correction, budget, and downtime. CO2 is a favored treatment in cases of acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and the signs of aging - but CO2 is also beneficial for more acute concerns such as dryness, texture, and pore size!

How does Co2 treatment work?
C02 laser resurfacing uses pulses of laser light. These beams penetrate the skin's surface, where water in the skin cells absorbs them. When this happens, the epidermis, or superficial layer of your skin, is vaporized. The dermis, or middle layer, heats up, stimulating the growth of new collagen fibers.

Is Co2 painful?
Everyone’s pain threshold is different and we do our best to make sure all treatment are as comfortable as possible. We use a generous amount of medical grade numbing cream prior to your treatment. This is sufficient in most cases, to easy any discomfort during the duration of your treatment process. If necessary we offer NitrousOxide or laughing gas as an upgrade options to any service..

How long do the results from a Co2 treatment last?
Depending on how aggressive your treatment is, we recommend clients get one treatment every one-three years for maintenance and correction.

How long does a Co2 treatment take to heal?
After CO2 laser treatment, it usually takes about 1 to 2 weeks for your skin to heal. Your skin will be very sensitive during this time. Follow the guidelines below to help your skin heal and prevent infection. Once your CO2 laser treatment is done, your nurse will give you an ice pack to cover the treated area.

Are there any side effects?

Our highly skilled staff perform this treatment only on those who have been deemed safe.
